Live Life To The Full.

 Given the recent devastating deaths of David Bowie and Alan Rickman - both who passed away far too young at the age of 69; I felt it necessary to write a blog post - not only dedicated to them, but dedicated to life itself.    If I have learnt one thing from the last few days, it's that life is short and you must never take it for granted. David Bowie and Alan Rickman's deaths are proof that it doesn't matter how famous or rich you are, material possessions can't buy you everything - when it comes down to it, we are all the same. 
As the saying goes, 'your health is you wealth' so cherish it. 
Live and love each day like it was your last.
RIP Bowie and Rickman, you were both taken too soon and will be sorely missed in the world.

Positive Thinking Leads to a Positive Life.

Today's post is about one of my favourite Christmas gifts, my 'Favourite Moment Of The Day' Journal. Beginning with the quote 'start each day with a grateful heart' and 'forever is composed of nows' - Emily Dickinson, the Journal's pages are undated which I really love, as it means that you don't necessarily need to force a 'favourite moment' of every day; you can just write and date them as and when they come, therefore making the ones you do write, entirely truthful. Given that my overall 2016 resolution is to banish negativity from my life, I really love how this Journal captures all the positivity and happiness in your life, consequently making those darker, unhappier days instantly forgettable. In the words of Roald Dahl: 'If you have good thoughts, they will shine out of your face like sun beams and you will always look lovely'.

New Year, New Me - My 2016 Resolutions.


Being New Years Day, I thought I would write a typical 'new year, new me' type post; only unlike so many previous resolutions, I actually plan to see these ones through (I probably said that last year too). One of my top resolutions is to begin regular blogging again (so far, so good). Unfortunately I became pretty slack with my blogging towards the end of 2015 due to uni work and other commitments, so I'm really looking forward to writing regular posts again. Another aim for the year is to overall better my lifestyle, whether it be food, fitness or people, I'm going to try and detoxify my life by getting rid of bad energy, focusing on becoming a better version of myself instead. Finally, I'm going to try and concentrate on keeping in touch with friends - especially when I'm away at university. If there's one thing that 2015 has taught me, it's that friends and family are everything, so make sure you appreciate them and don't take anyone for granted.
