Oh I do like to be beside the Seaside...

Despite nearing the end of my second year at Plymouth (how time flies?!), I had never visited the beach...( I know!) up until last Sunday.

Considering that England is renowned for its' rainy days, Sunday's gorgeous, sunny weather proved too good of an opportunity to miss (okay so ditching the library, maybe did have something to do with it, too)... Labelled 'Britain's Ocean City', Plymouth is about 20/30 minutes drive away from the nearest beach. Unfortunately this journey did take us a while longer due to the ferry crossing being extra busy but this didn't particularly bother me.

The beach we decided to grace our presence with, was Whitsand Bay Beach - which is a small cove just across the border into Cornwall. I was really pleased as unlike a lot of beaches in Britain, this cove was lovely and sandy. The sea looked lovely, glinting in the sun - however being the wuss I am, had already decided that I would not be braving the cold sea, much preferring to stay on shore, happy to use my new camera and take photos.

Below are a few of my favourite photos from the day :)
Have you recently been on a lovely day trip?
